The Cary 5000 UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer is a high performance UV-Vis and NIR spectrophotometer with excellent photometric performance in the 175-3300 nm range. The latest generation of PbSmart detectors improves sensitivity and reduces stray light in the NIR region, making them a powerful tool for materials science research. Cary WinUV software (Windows based modular software) makes it easy to implement powerful analysis capabilities and control a large number of optional accessories.

 

The large sample chamber is extended to accommodate large attachments and integrating spheres for spectral and diffuse reflection tests. The LockDown mechanism enables rapid attachment replacement and positioning to achieve reproducible analysis results.

Excellent luminosity range and linearity in ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometers

The Cary UV-VI-NIR spectrophotometer eliminates the need for time-consuming sample dilution and standard sample dilution while reliably measuring complex samples. The instrument offers an ultra-wide linear range of luminosity over an ultra-wide wavelength range - from the UV-VIS region to the near-infrared region, with an absorbance linear range of more than 8 Abs.

The wide dynamic range quantitative analysis of potassium permanganate aqueous solution (left) further demonstrates the instrument's excellent photometric accuracy and photometric range. Samples in the 0.1-500 ppm concentration range can be measured at 555 nm without dilution.

 

Easy replacement of accessories

The Cary UV-VisIBle-NIR spectrophotometer has a unique LockDown mechanism that enables you to quickly and reproducibly position your accessories in the instrument and reliably secure any accessories in the same exact location in the sample room, eliminating the need for tools and time-consuming pre-calibration processes. Multiple LockDown panels for different measurement configurations can be easily replaced and locked when needed in three simple steps.
